Overdrive Form

Here is the form i wish for you to use when posting the idea you have for your Overdrive.

Note: In FFX, most overdrives are built off of 1 solid, special attack. So mostly an attack that only lasts 1 round unless jecht or I give permission otherwise.

Name of character: Ren Graes

Name of Overdrive: Rage of the Renegade

Weapon being used for overdrive: Anything (Because it's a physical attack with Ren's body)

Elemental type, If any: Electric

In-depth Description of Overdrive: The body is covered with electric currents that form a shieldlike aura... By focusing, Ren can make it EXPLODE causing damage to everyone/thing around him without harming Ren.
Damage and effects of Overdrive: 2d10 damage per enemy. Effects: Total of 15 feet of damage... WILL damage allies.

Overdrives background to your character: After learning to fight, Ren has figured out how to temporarily unleash his hidden energy into an explosive-type attack. But because his body cannot handle the rapid-chain of Explosions... he has to rest to rebuild lost energy. He's found a limit. He can do it ONCE per Hour. (Or ONCE per day in the game's case... meaning he has to REST before he can use it again)

Feel free to change it to make it fair if it isn't.

Name of character: Crxys Key

Name of Overdrive: Cynosure of Elements

Weapon being used for overdrive: Bastard Sword

Elemental type, If any: Fire, Cold, Acid, Sonic, and Electrical

In-depth Description of Overdrive: Crxys Key's steel becomes enchanted with the five elements; unstable five energies uniting as one single entity. Its strike deals damage from the five elements, however the blade no longer pertains its physicality and therefore does not deal physical damage. Since the focus of elements is directed to Crxys and his blade, he is more vulnerable to elemental damage during the overdrive. There are exceptions to this. (See below)

Damage and effects of Overdrive: Duration 1 round. Im thinking of each element would do 2d4 damage(10min-40max.) It's basically a gamble. There will be no physical damage dealt by the weapon. Since the strike is pure elemental, there's a chance the enemy will be immune to any of these elements. Crxys will recieve +10 bonus damage from any elemental attack/spell.

-For an example: if an enemy casts Fire, Ice, etc., it will deal +10 damage. However, if there are any Black Mages present during the overdrive, each Black Mage present will reduce the bonus damage by 1. So if there were two Black Mages present, Crxys will recieve +8 bonus damage from any elemental spell/attack.

Overdrives background to your character: Through understanding and invocation of the elements, Crxys is able to channel the energies and use it at his will. His idea of 'power' is to manipulate energy into a single form and create devastating effects; this is the source of his thirst for power and basically the reason why I made him. The collection of knowledge and use of the powers can be made through DM events, which could provide benefits for other power-hungry Black Mages.

Name of Overdrive: Dual Blade Devestation

Weapon being used for overdrive: Dual Bastard Swords

Elemental type, If any: Fire

In-depth Description of Overdrive: The blades cross, and ignite in flames..... he rushes his oppenent flying a X-Cut attack with the blades making a flaming X-Shoot at the target burning them, followed by the slicing blades.

Damage and effects of Overdrive: 2d10(blades) + 1d6(fire)

Overdrives background to your character: Ceirus hails from Kilika.... he is firey in nature, and the fire element aspect adds and shows more of his nature. Ifrit comes from Kilika Temple so as a requirement before using this I would like to RP a trial by fire event were he earns it.

Name of character: Yasharyn

Name of Overdrive: The dark sending

Weapon being used for overdrive: ''Gate to Farplane'' Magic (Seeking to get a possible scripted widget for visual)

Elemental type: Negative energy ''Dark''

In-depth Description of Overdrive: The dark sending gains it's name from Summoners sending of pyreflies into the farplane, except it sends the living killing the target and sending their sound to the farplane, in this Yasharyn serves as a link or gate to Farplane being like the Ferryman for the living to die and to be send, in the msot powerful form she can take the living directly to the farplane in which they meet their demise overly early, however this hasen't hapened since her first time she reached ''Overdrive'' and is rumoured not to even work anymore.

Damage and effects of Overdrive: ((No idea as of yet, seeking to get aprovement for ''Death'' or ''Doom'' type of magic thats classic to FF saga))

Overdrives background:
Seven years of living in the Guado salams farplane made Yasharyn have certain link to the place therefore, as if native to farplane she has learned to know the farplane and its souls, its as if the dead guide her.

Name of character:Fighter McSwordman

Name of Overdrive:

Weapon being used for overdrive: Any two swords (typically long swords)

Elemental type, If any:Physical

In-depth Description of Overdrive:Fighter attaches a secondary weapon to his primary weapon with a length of chain making one large fearsome and questionably impractical weapon.

Damage and effects of Overdrive: While odd fighter has worked with this weapon to extensive degrees and has learned to almost never hurt himself with his own sword chucks (in rp fights roll a d10 Each time its used. If a 1 is rolled fighter damages himself 1d4) This does however allow him to attack twice as fast with a increased range and parring ability. (extra damage of 1d4 +1 to deflection and small extended range.)

Overdrives background to your character:Fighter always prides himself on his ability to use swords, however having mastered every single sword he can find he needed a new hard weapon to use that will make him legendary. Unfortunately hes not very smart so he recreated sword chucks a legendary weapon his ancestor once used. He has trained with them for years while all those around him mocked him with a weapon more likely to hurt him then a enemy. He is now close to complete mastery of this unheard of weapon and fighting style.

Can we get an update and see which Overdrives are done/WIP and Approved/Disapproved?

Name of Character: Rohn.

Name of Overdrive: Rageing Inferno.

Weapon being used for Overdrive: Greatsword

Element type, if any: Fire

In-depth description of Overdrive: Fire flows from Rohn's arms to the greatsword, the fire twirls around the blade till the tip of it, where then flames cover the whole sword.

Damage and effects of Overdrive: 2d6(Sword), 1d6(fire). Can only do this once a day(need to rest after use).

Overdrives background to Character: Rohn is a hothead sometimes and a bit reckless, some call him an inferno ready to blow, so he trained a bit with a black mage to learn some magic and learned to channel energy to his blade.

Char Name: Kain

Name of Overdrive: Holy Light

Weapon being used for Overdrive: None

Element type, if any: Light/divine, or seeing as that isnt an FF element, Fire

In-Depther description of Overdrive: Kain Glows brightly with an inner light, to the point where it's almost impossible to see. The person who kain is using this on, see's 2 angles, one black, the other white. Both angles go up to the target, and try to convince the person to go with them, not the other... depending on which one the target chooses, a diffrent effect happens. White Angle: The light grows brighter, but quickly diseapears, most wounds on the people around are gone. Black Angle: The light coming from kain glows even brighter, burning the target badly before the light diseapers.
Note about his overdrive: All this happens in a couple seconds, though to the target, it seems longer.
Damage and Effet of overdrive:
White angle: heal 1d20 to kain if no allys are around, if allys are around, heal 1d10 to kain, and 1d6 to all allys, the light also Heals all enemys for 1d4.
Black Angle: The light burns the target for 1d20 dmg -1 for all enemeys that werent targeted with this overdrive. (meaning, that if kain is fighting 8 enemys, it would do 1d20 - 7 dmg to the target)
BackGround of overdrive: Kain has always been nice and forgiving, his own inner light keeping happy even when faced with the most angry of people. Though recently, it has been seen that kain is starting to change, he is still happy and nice, but will seek vengence on any he deems "evil". this inner light of his has started to manafest itself, and split as kain's personality changed.

Name of character: Li Yang
Name of Overdrive: 龙的愤怒哈 (Long Di Fen Nu Ha) - Dragon wrath's breath

Weapon being used for overdrive: Hands (as Li uses them to project his chi)

Elemental type: Since there's no "chi" damage, I was wondering if "magical" damage could be applied to it? >.>

In-depth Description of Overdrive: Li closes his eyes and concentrates, inhaling a very long, deep breath as his hands begin glowing while they're placed together in a motion of him going to push something quite heavy forwards with them (you know, the hadoken motion), while chi courses from the rest of his body to concentrate on his hand, and after a few seconds, a stream of circular, continuous chi is expelled from his hand at the same time when he opens his eyes and lets out a strondous "kiai".

Damage and effects of Overdrive: 21ft. range (forward, like an ice ray or something) 3d6 magic damage + 1d4 or d6 piercing/bludgeoning

Overdrives background: Li's a classic martial artist, and I think the only suitable kind of "element" to him would be the "raw essence energy" (aka chi >.>), and since his only skills regard to some serious punching, kicking and chi kung (the ability of developping internal energy either for medicinal or martial purposes), I tried to make it the more "fitting" to his style.

Chracter name: Leo

Name of Overdrive: Flare blitz

Weapons being used: Longsword and sheild.

Elemental damage: 2D10 fire, 1D6 longsword. (Used for PvP and PvE RP, so if you can, make a widget plz) After the 1 round is up, Leo is dealt 50 damage per lvl of the overdrive. (Used once per day)

Description: He builds up power, after training at the academy for a while he learned how to "play" with fire. He soon tries to control the power and uses it as an advantage against Sin. His blade bursts into flames and, he becomes a flaming bullet. Leo then charges up to an enemy and slashes at the "target" useing great stength and speed. But there is a downside of usring this ability, it will render him weaker after the round is up.

Name of character: Zarka Sethlet

Name of Overdrive: Lightning Premonition

Weapon being used for overdrive: Any weapon

Elemental type, If any: Lightning

In-depth Description of Overdrive: While using overdrive, his right eye that we thought was unusable is actually working because of Zarka's energy. His right eye named Eagle becomes deep green, if you're close enough, you can see electric spikes in his eye. Eagle is somekind of container of energey. His weapon would have a green aura around it. Seth uses it to enhance his attacks and to read the opponent's next attack.

Damage and effects of Overdrive: +1d8 lightning damage, +1d6 weapon damage, +3 to dodge and block rolls 1/2 rounds.

Overdrives background to your character: Zarka's grandfather was using that overdrive, before he died, he wrote some kind of "how to use" book and gave it to his grandson. Zarka kept it but never opened it, he thought it was just a souvenir of his father's father. One day, he would open it just for fun and notices that he can learn "Lightning Premonition" with that book. He would grin and then starts his training with his grand father's friend, who was there when grandpa was training. (just take an old man NPC for the quest)
